What makes headphones/headphones suitable for listening to the SSP?
The SSP is listened to with headphones after downloading through the app.
One of the most frequently asked questions to us is, what are suitable headphones to listen to the SSP with? And what kind of headphones do you recommend?
Let's start with what the headphones should meet.
We recommend using over the ear headphones. We do this because there should be a certain distance from the speaker to the middle ear.
The headphones must not have noise cancelling, equalizer presets or other sound adjustments. Or these must be able to be turned off.
Also, no noise correction should be present, or this should be off. More expensive headphones have this correction and will adjust the sound of the SSP because they think it is corrupted because of the filtering in the SSP.
In summary, the filtering of the SSP should not be modified to maintain its operation.
What kind of headphones do we recommend?
The headphones may be either wired or wireless, you can possibly use an adapter or adapter plug to connect a wired phone to your phone or tablet.
The simpler the headphones are the better, then you also can't forget to turn off certain things.
Wired headphones are usually quite simple and therefore actually always suitable.
For bluetooth headphones, we recommend a type like this one: Amazon.com: Amazon Basics Bluetooth Wireless On Ear Headphones with Microphone, 35 Hour Playtime, Foldable, One Size, Black : Electronics
You can always contact us to ask if your current headphones are suitable.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are expensive headphones better?
For the operation of the SSP, this does not matter. As long as the quality is reasonable and the sound is well transmitted.
Can the SSP also be listened to without headphones?
In exceptional cases this is also possible, although the effect will be a little less. But the SSP still works. We do this with dogs, for example, or with small children who cannot yet wear headphones.
Can it also be done with ear-bud/ in ear earbuds?
This is not recommended because over-the-ear headphones give better results.
Is it better to use on-ear or over-ear headphones?
Some people do not like the clamping feel of headphones, in which case we recommend an on-ear because it clamps less and is lighter. In other cases, we recommend an over the ear because they block out ambient noise better.
