Read here the experience of one of our clients who uses the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) for migraines. So that she experiences fewer symptoms and can do more.
From Core to Balance
The first few weeks I started with the Unyte Classic program, but that program proved to be a little too intense to begin with. My headache got a little worse and so did the day after. However, I did notice that I slept a little better those times, so that is remarkable. I started the Balance program after consulting with William. I started with 1 minute a day and now I am slowly building up. I also listen to Core Original from time to time and I want to expand that a bit more as well, but for now Balance feels like a safer option.
Why I started again with the SSP
The reason I started the SSP program again is because I had a relapse in my headaches and I couldn't leave the house for ten days. That makes you pretty gloomy. Because I had a positive experience with the SSP program in the past, I thought maybe it could help me with this relapse. And strangely enough it did. Normally when I have a relapse it can take months for me to get back to the same point as before. Now after listening to just 1 minute of Balance a day, for several days, I noticed that I came out of this and was able to do more things in a day.
More complaints around my period
Every day I have chronic headaches with attacks on top of that. Around my period I notice that it gets worse. I also noticed this time prior to this that my shoulders/neck were getting heavier, and the headaches were a bit worse. Normally this then sets in and I have several rest days and lay flat. I expected this in the morning when I woke up, but I was still able to do something on those days, which is normally less the case. This was kind of special for me to notice.
Unfortunately, I can't very well say what effect the SSP program had during my period. I banged my head again Monday the 15th which left me with a worse week. I am coming out of that now since Sunday. During that week I continued to listen. What I noticed is that if I bumped my head normally it would cause a major and long extreme attack. Now I had a worse week and definitely noticed this bump as well, but it was not an extreme attack that would normally follow such a blow. Normally that would disrupt the whole system and put it into fight and flight modes. I hope to have more input in the coming months.
Background information
I myself have had positive experiences with the SSP program before. About 6 years ago I hit my head and had a severe concussion. This triggered my old migraine in a severe, chronic and non-classical form, making it difficult to put my finger on what exactly it was. From lying on the bed constantly, the balance organ became unbalanced, making the headaches worse with every movement. So bad that for years I was practically a cash crop with mantle care and insufferable headaches. After traveling to America and Germany with hopes of recovery, I came across the SSP program. I was fortunately in a slightly better place by MNRI therapy and was able to take a small detour. After listening to the SSP program I noticed exceptional results and got back into life. Now three years later, I am trying this program again for my headaches.
Experience first month
I myself was in a relapse in my (chronic) migraine process and it can sometimes take months to get back to where I was before. About three years ago I made great strides with the SSP program and so I had high hopes for this second listening. Soon I noticed that it was best for me to start slowly with the SSP program, with one minute a day. Soon I also noticed that these very short moments of listening made a nice step forward. After just a few days of listening, I came out of the relapse and noticed that I could do a few more things in a day again. My sister and mother also noticed this and also couldn't believe that I was scaling back up with just one minute of listening.
A good start
Before and during my period, my migraines are worse. I then notice this far in advance. In the morning upon waking up I feel this immediately and then think, "It's that time again." I expected this now also with waking up, yet during those days I was able to do more in a day and noticed a difference in this. For me this feels like a good start.
